Uragan Irma oslabio na kategoriju 1, ali i dalje opasan

Uragan Irma je ujutro u ponedjeljak pao na kategoriju jedan, a očekuje se da će i dalje slabiti dok se kreće preko sjeverne Floride ili južne Georgije, navodi Nacionalni centar za uragane Sjedinjenih Američkih Država (SAD).

Ipak, prognostičari upozoravaju da će Irma još uvijek biti „opasna po živote”. U Nacionalnom centru za uragane kažu da je moguće da tornadi u ponedjeljak uvečer prođu kroz sjeveroistočnu Floridu, jugoistočnu Georgiju i južnu Carolinu.

Centar oluje je ostao Ina oko 40 kilometara sjeveroistično od Tumpe, a maksimalna brzina vjetra iznosila je 135 kilometara na sat.

Uragan Irma pogodio je Floridu jakim vjetrovima i obilnim kišama. Više od tri miliona ljudi ostalo je bez struje. Najmanje 75 hiljada ljudi se prijavilo u 400 skloništa širom zemlje. Do nedjelje naveče, na Floridi su prijavljena tri smrtna slučaja povezana sa uraganom Irma.

Predsjednik Donald Trump potpisao je uredbu kojom se proglašava stanje prirodne katastrofe na Floridi, a što omogućava slanje dodatne pomoći.
